Particle IoT Development
Services

WeMakeIoT builds cellular-connected IoT products on the Particle platform — from Boron and B Series hardware to firmware, cloud webhooks, and fleet device management. Wi-Fi, cellular, BLE, and mesh connectivity in one integrated stack, with Over-the-Air updates built in from day one.

Particle is a fully integrated IoT platform that gives you everything needed to build a connected device: hardware, firmware development tools, and a device cloud. WeMakeIoT has used Particle across remote asset tracking, fixed asset monitoring, and fleet deploymentssince its Electron and Photon generations, and now builds primarily on the Boron and B Series family for cellular-first products.

Global Cellular Connectivity

LTE CAT-M1/NB1 in North America and LTE CAT-1 with 3G/2G fallback across EMEAA — deployable almost anywhere without relying on local Wi-Fi or LoRaWAN gateway coverage.

🔄

Over-the-Air Updates

Every Particle device supports remote firmware updates out of the box, so fleets already in the field can be patched, improved, or reconfigured without a truck roll.

🧩

Mesh & Multi-Radio

Wi-Fi, cellular, and Bluetooth on the same hardware family, with Particle Mesh enabling local device-to-device communication alongside cloud connectivity.

🛠️

Rapid Prototyping

Development boards connect to the internet in minutes, letting our embedded team move from concept to a working cellular prototype in a fraction of the usual timeline.

☁️

Particle Device Cloud

Fleet-wide device management, diagnostics, and SIM management in one console — with webhooks that push data straight into ThingsBoard, SensorVision, or your own backend.

👥

Mature Developer Ecosystem

One of the largest IoT developer communities in the world, meaning fewer dead ends during firmware development and a stable long-term hardware roadmap.

WeMakeIoT delivers the full Particle stack — hardware selection, firmware, connectivity, and cloud integration — for cellular and mesh-connected products.

When should I choose Particle (cellular) over LoRaWAN or Wi-Fi?
Cellular via Particle suits mobile assets or deployments where LoRaWAN gateway coverage isn't available and cost per device is less critical than reach — vehicles, containers, and remote fixed assets. LoRaWAN wins on battery life and cost at scale where you control the gateway network; Wi-Fi suits mains-powered, high-bandwidth applications. Many projects combine Particle cellular as a failover alongside LoRaWAN or BLE.
Which Particle hardware do you build on?
Primarily Boron and B Series for cellular-first products today, with Argon for Wi-Fi-only deployments and Xenon for local mesh. We also maintain and extend earlier Electron and Photon deployments already in the field for existing clients.
Can devices already in the field be updated remotely?
Yes — every Particle device supports Over-the-Air firmware updates as a core platform feature. We build staged rollout and rollback protection into the update pipeline so a fleet already deployed can be patched without a site visit.
Does Particle data integrate with our existing dashboard or ERP?
Particle Cloud webhooks push device data over HTTP or MQTT into ThingsBoard, SensorVision, Google Cloud, AWS IoT, or a custom backend — so it can sit alongside supply-chain or ERP systems already in place rather than requiring a standalone platform.
